Hi My name is Hillary…wife, empty nester, mother of three, lifetime equine and animal lover. My husband and I currently have 10 furkids, 4 horses, 4 dogs, and 2 cats. We have recently relocated from Idaho to Georgia and that was an extraordinary experience to be shared at a later posting.
I started this blog because I’ve received such a positive response from so many people I’m in touch with on the internet or in person regarding my thoughts about horse care and saving money. Two subjects I’m passionate about. I should have done this 5 years ago like my mother suggested, but I just didn’t know where to begin. With the help of two ladies, Ruth Soukup of Living Well, Spending Less and Michelle Schroeder of Making Sense of Cents, I was able to gather the information and a cup of courage to share my thoughts. So I bit the bullet and took Arthur Ashe’s advice from his quote. ”Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.”
So here’s my start. My head is full of many things I want to share and I encourage you to comment or ask.
I will be using what I have by posting money saving tips, links to articles and sharing my own adventures with our 4 equines. Things that have been tried and tested by me, things that worked or didn’t work.
And I will be doing what I can…sharing with you, my friends, family and fellow horse lovers.
